The Windang duo will be taking over Wollongong’s Bulli Showground on the day of release, 31 July, for a post-apocalyptic themed concert, called ‘Alive At The Drive-In’.

Here's how the drive-in concert works: Hockey Dad perform their new album front-to-back on stage, and the sound is broadcast to attendees via FM radio to the comfort and safety of their vehicles.

"We’ve never done anything like this before which is super exciting for us," Billy and Zach told triple j. "We’ve also got a bunch of our good mates involved."

"We are hoping to make it the most genuine drive-in experience possible!" said the band. 

They'll be following health and safety guidelines, meaning contactless ticket entry and toilet breaks being the only reason people leave their cars, "but rest assured that we will do everything we can to get snacks to the people."

Oh, and about the zombies? Hockey Dad are saving a few surprises but...

"Imagine yourself in 1976 parked up to see the latest horror film with a bunch of your friends crammed into the Torana, only to witness a zombie apocalypse unfolding right in front of you." 

There’s only 400 tickets (sold by the car) up for grabs to this one-off all ages event. All passes includes getting your mitts on an exclusive poster, with artwork by Reid McManus, and a “ghoulish goodie bag."
