Four-time World Surf League champion Carissa Moore started the season with a win at the Sydney Surf Pro held at Manly Beach, Australia on March 13th, 2020.

In a classic rival matchup against Tyler Wright, Moore took out the women’s Challenger Series event while Italian Leonardo Fioravanti claimed the mens’s division crown up against Aussie Matt Banting.
